It’s hard to believe our summer program is already here! We are looking forward to several exciting courses this summer: literacy for elementary school students, math and science for elementary school students, two levels of robotics, and a Mexican-American studies course, to name a few! We look forward to welcoming families — old and new — to Masa on Monday.
Masa is deeply disappointed by the outcome of the United States v. Texas case relating to DAPA and DACA+. Read our full statement (in Spanish and English) here.
It’s been busy here at Masa! We recently wrapped up our after-school homework help and robotics programs, and are now preparing for our summer program, which will include a variety of literacy, robotics, and STEM programming, as well as youth programming. If you are interested in working with Masa this summer, feel free to check out our list of summer job opportunities here.
On Sunday, Masa enjoyed a wonderful Mothers’ Day celebration! Families joined us at Masa for an afternoon of relaxation, including making facials, body spray, and body scrub. At the end of the evening, children presented their mothers with a handmade card and a flower. It was a great opportunity for the many hard-working mothers at Masa to enjoy some relaxation and to be recognized and appreciated by their families! See pictures from the event here.
Masa has an exciting array of workshops and events during the month of April! You can see our April workshop calendar here. Highlights include a workshop about the “10 Year Law,” a trip to Washington DC to advocate for immigration reform on the day the Supreme Court will hear the DACA+/DAPA case, and our annual Children’s Day event. We hope to see you soon!
